American doctors are trying to introduce a laser method to change eye color of the patient.
Dr. Gregg Homer says that in just 20 seconds the laser can remove pigment from brown eyes, which then become blue. The doctor is looking for an investor who would give $ 750,000 for a clinical trial of this method. But experts in this field say that one should be careful with this method because the destruction of the pigment of the eye can lead to problems with vision if too much light enters the eye, the BBC reported.
The company, which is trying to commercialize this process, Stroma Medical, estimates that they will need a year and a half to complete the testing. Skeptical experts say there’s a reason why there is a pigment in the eye and that people could have problems after this procedure.
