Choose Yellow and Green for Healthy Vision

For a long time children were told how they should eat carrots in order to preserve good vision, but recent studies show that green peas, broccoli or pears may have a similar effect…

Scientists have discovered how light yellow and green fruits and vegetables contain a substance that helps protect the eyes from damage in later life. It is believed that this component reduces the risk of macular degeneration because it absorbs blue light damage to the eye area. Also, it protects the membrane of the eye by cleaning molecules that can damage cells.

In addition, green foods such as green peppers, kiwi, lettuce, broccoli, cucumbers, cabbage and peas strengthen the resistance to diseases, slow aging and promote detoxification; while yellow foods like bananas, pineapple, pear, melon, grapefruit and corn improve digestion, and strengthen the nervous system and brain.
