New York: Even the Blind Get a Driver’s License!

Unbelievable precedent was made in the state of New York…

The rule that for the extension of a driver’s license after eight years drivers have to go to a new vision check up is no longer valid and the whole process of extension can now be done via mail or the Internet.

A strange decision surprised all the people of New York. On behalf of the Ministry of Transportation Barbara Fiala, from the Head Office of New York, tried to explain this decision:

‘When you first get a license you are obliged to come to the check up, but if you prolong it you can get the license from your house. By this way we want to reduce crowds of people in our office where drivers come with much bigger problems than the extension of a driver’s license, “concluded Fiala.

This move angered most New Yorkers who believe that now the driver who eventually goes blind in eight years with no problems can get a driver’s license.
