People who are depressed actually see everything in the color gray, since this condition causes vision to change, found German scientists.
In fact, depression affects the eyes so it is difficult to spot the contrast of black and white so that everything blends into gray.
After the tests on the patients’ retinas, it was shown that the effect of depression is similar to the effect of turning off the contrast on the TV.
This could be the reason why artists in all times and all cultures consistently describe the depression with the symbols for darkness or uniform greyness.
