Video: Future of Eye Embedded Technology

Short film shows how we will live in the future with eye-embedded technology …

Video shows the type of system in which the technological component is built into the eyeball, and in this way without any additional hardware can use a bunch of applications that help people to do everyday things.

Patrick, the main character of the movie, can be seen working out on the floor, watching TV while sitting on the couch in front of a completely blank wall, getting dressed with the help of appropriate application and using Vingmen – an application that helps people during romantic meetings.

Like any major technological shift, this one too has its good and bad sides. The good one is that there would be no time wasting and distractions that are so present in modern life when during the conversation we need to answer the phone, take a look at the application, publish something on Facebook, check out what others have published. All that would now be available to us inside our own eye.

On the other hand, the knowledge that is easily accessible on the Internet, people unconsciously refuse to remember, so Patrick is doing the simplest of tasks like cutting cucumber with the help of the application.

If this kind of technology would be incorporated into our own bodies, we would have absolutely no more freedom, knowledge would be constantly present, too readily available, and perhaps could be imposed by the person who controls the system.

‘Google Goggles’ are currently the best realization of this idea in the real world.

The accompanying video shows how this combination of vision and technology might look like in the future.
