“I began to dream in color after 25 years of life…”
Bionic eyes are the solution of the future to make blind people see again. Several Britons are now able to see, after a successful surgery, thanks to bionic eyes. Although they don’t have a crystal clear vision as in people with healthy eyes, after years of living “in darkness” this too is a progress.
Scientists believe that, after their brain “learns to see again,” people with bionic eyes will have no trouble seeing outlines of objects and recognizing human faces.
60-year old Robin Millar from London is one of those with bionic eyes implanted. He said for the Daily Mail: “Now I am able to detect light and to recognize the outlines of individual objects, which is really encouraging. I began to dream in color after 25 years of life! This is a proof that the dormant part of my brain woke up. “
Experts say that significantly improved vision in people who get bionic eyes is visible already several weeks after surgery.
