Blind Sisters See for the First Time

Two sisters from India, Sonia and Anita, were blind from birth, and then were operated …

They lived in a poor family that they could not afford the operation, despite the fact that it is a simple, 15-minute, surgery that costs $ 300.
In a country like India, as in many other developing countries, people with disabilities who are born in poor families are often the target of bullies, especially women.
In order to help these girls to avoid such a fate, a non-profit organization 20/20/20, helping millions of blind around the world to see again, enabled them to have surgery, and Blue Chalk Media poured their story into a short film.
“Anita and Sonia are among the 20 million blind children and adults who could have their sight with this simple surgery, but because of financial problems, they cannot afford it.

With this short film we wanted to point to the problem, as a part of our mission, which will allow these people to see. We want to inspire society to care for others, to invest in a better future, “says the members of the organization 20/20/20.
