– It is not surprising that I’m opening a clinic in Split, since I have roots in Dalmatia. Not only that we have become accessible to many patients, but I believe we have laid the foundation for health tourism in this areaby attracting patients from European countries – said the founder and owner of the clinic „Svjetlost” Ph.D. Nikica Gabrić.
The honor of cutting the ribbon on the opening was given to Nikica’s son, Krešo Gabrić.
– I do not have anything against politicians, but my family suffers the most because of my busy business schedule , so I wanted them to do the honor of opening the clinic – said this eminent ophthalmologist and deserved an applause from the audience.
Professor Gabrić said that in the three weeks of work, the clinic in Split performed 160 operations, and during the last month in Zagreb, Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Montenegro the team of doctors performed 1050 operations.
The clinic in Split, worth seven million kuna , covers an area of ??450 square meters. It includes two diagnostic cabinets, a small hall for minor surgical procedures and room for laser vision correction and four ambulances. The demand for the services of the clinic „Svjetlost” is such that even before the doors opened, 600 patients had registered for the examination.
Let us add that the operating procedures are done on Thursdays, and prices of services are available on the internet.
Besides-established medical team, the clinic provided work for 10 young people from the Split area.
After the opening, the ceremony moved to the hotel Le Meridien Lav where guests were entertained by famous Croatian singers; Jelena Rozga, Tereza Kesovija, Doris Dragović, Oliver and Peter Grašo.
