Those are acquired diseases which are associated with earlier corneal diseases (inflammation, injury, surgery on the cornea, lagophtalmus), metabolic disorders, atrophy of the eyeball or of unknown causes. Depending on the cause, there are edema, bullae, ulcers, blur, neovascularization, various deposits (amyloid, lipids, lime, etc.).

Treatment:
Whenever possible, the primary cause should be removed. In some cases, keratoplasty is also possible.
