Do you see ghosts and afraid to say because you fear that you will be declared insane? You are not alone, it happens to many. However, your reason may be all right, and therefore read what is actually the case.
David Stannard, 73-year-old who has been living for six years as a single since his wife died, sat quietly and watched a television program. Suddenly two British naval pilot and a schoolboy appeared beside him.
Guests silently abandoned him after fifteen minutes, but already the next morning on his couch stood a little girl. Only a slight move, and then she disappeared. Thus began his daily company with spooks.
Doesn’t sound very pleasant, right? If such a thing happens one day to you, and it happens to millions, keep in mind that you should not panic and wake up a priest at two in the morning.
Mr. Stannard has fortunately knew right away what it is. His guests did not come from the other world, but he was suffering from Charles Bonnet syndrome (CBS).
What is that? Not to go into too many medical details, but to explain in the layman language, CBS is a disorder of which in most cases get ill people who have vision problems (mostly who are losing it).
Namely, the brain is normally accustomed to the constant pulse or flow images. However, if the amount of visual information decreases, the brain will be confused because this is happening and will start to produce images, in other words, hallucinations.
What will you see depends mostly on which part of your brain will activate more than usual, but at CBS people usually see ghosts (sometimes only faces, sometimes a group of people), musical notes, cars, miniature figures .. .
Hallucinations can last for few seconds, but can last also for hours, and although so far there is no reliable way to stop it, doctors advise a patient to take one thing and fidget it with his fingertips.
Unfortunately, CBS can drive you mad for years, but it is a lot easier to live with it when you know that you mind is not leaving you.
Also, it is clear that from this disorder suffers only a part of all the people whose eyes are telling less to the brain s, so do not scare immediately if your sight begans weaking.
We wrote this text as a consolation to those who are struggling with this problem, and until now did not know what is actually the case.
