Wearing eyeglasses used to be more a question of functionality than fashion – an essential accessory without much charm and style….
But now the eyeglasses are given a whole new status – prescription glasses with thick frames are on top of the list of required styles.
Hipster glasses were worn this September by a number of models at fashion shows of famous designers for their 2013 spring / summer collections. These fashionable glasses are privately worn by Victoria Beckham, David Beckham, Alexa Chung, Kim Kardashian, Christina Hendricks, Dakota Fanning and Johnny Depp.
The trend is definitely in favor for those with low vision, although this is not a necessity – glasses are worn without perspection by those with perfect vision.
A few rules to achieve hipster – look:
- Always follow the rule „less is more”.
- Dramatic make-up of the eyes works only with rimless glasses.
- Thicker eyebrows will complete the look, or they can even be bolded with a pen.
- Hair is very important. If you have long hair, pull it from the face to achieve a more hipster-look.
- If you’re feeling adventurous, ‘catty’ brightly colored frames are very modern.
