Veljko Sekelj is the author of a new internet project which is fully adapted to the blind…
This project, entitled FeedSpeaker, hides a fully functional online news reader which draws content from RSS feeds while human speech is used for controlling.
The idea is to enable blind people instant access to the latest media coverage and information from around the world using only speech. It is extremely easy to use, it can be used anywhere in the world, free of charge and requires no complicated installation.
FeedSpeaker is the first of its kind and has already won the prestigious pan-European INCA award.
Competition judges described it as an innovative application which is well focused to a target group, socially useful and very easy to use.
Currently, it is in the competition for the grand prize in the finale of SxSW (South by Southwest) Interactive conference. Voting is open to all online visitors. Zimo voted, you vote too!
You can learn more about FeedSpeaker from a video presentation of the INCA Web Awards.
