Famous actress is suffering from macular degeneration…
Actress Judi Dench, known as “M” – the head of the British secret service (MI6) from the James Bond series, is going blind. 77-year-old Dench revealed to the reporters that she was diagnosed with macular degeneration, an eye disease that affects older people, and which her mother also had.”I can no longer read the scripts. Someone else reads them to me, as if telling a story. Worst thing is that, for example, during a dinner at a restaurant I do not see the person I’m dining with,” said the actress, adding that she is still not planning a retirement and hopes that medical treatments will slow the progression of the disease and that she will not become completely blind.
