Microsoft glasses with expanded reality would be intended for playing computer games on the Xbox, but it is still not known when they might see the light of the day…
The data on the patent that Microsoft has given for registration, which were published these days have discovered that the company is turning to augmented reality.
The patent relates to glasses with expanded reality which would have the ability to recognize faces and voice commands.
Although it may sound like Google’s smart glasses, it seems that Microsoft is aimed at computer games industry since the full name of the proposed patent is ‘multiplayer gaming using a screen placed on the head. “
Specifically, the patent application states that the glasses would be fitted with a system for calling potential players to participate in games which would recognize the other players and, depending on their preferences and the games they play, suggest games they could play together.
Mashable writes that the first rumors about Microsoft goggles leaked last year when the public found out about the document that reveals the business plans of the company.
Microsoft is so far silent on the subject of glasses, but it is not excluded that in the future we could play Microsoft Xbox with such glasses.
