The presentation of the university handbook “Clinical Optometry „was held on the 4th of November in the East Learning Centre of the hospital Rebro in Zagreb…
This extremely useful manual is intended for medical students and residents of ophthalmology and optometry, but also for all others who are engaged in or have an interest in the study of vision and capabilities for its correction.
The authors of the handbook are doctors at the Eye Clinic at Rebro , and chief editor is the professor dr. sc . Branimir Cerovski, who is also the most responsible one for the content uniformity and excellent technical formatting. The book has 224 pages; it is divided into 20 chapters, and is rich in illustrations.
Methodically, it is adapted for the university’s course „Ophthalmology and Optometry ” , because it covers the topic of the physiology of vision, physics of vision, binocular vision, and explains the clinically relevant terms such as refractive errors , accommodation, presbyopia , and correction of refractive errors with eyeglass lenses , contact lenses and refractive surgery .
