Persol Roadster Edition is dedicated to the heroes on four wheels, masters behind the wheel whose legendary skills have opened vast horizons and showed the world what it means ‘driving with style’. This is a dedication to all the first drivers, real gentlemen and to the epic races from the early 1900-ies that kept all the eyes in the world in the direction of their difficult and inaccessible paths, where the finish often seemed unattainable.
Passion, emotion and tradition are the values that are shared by Persol and Roadster, the legendary sports car model that has dominated races in early 1900-ies. Intuition, ingenuity, innovation and quality were the basic principles of these pioneering years, and in duels of the knights on four wheels, Roadster at that time achieved speeds of up to 160 km / h on flat tracks. The first races were held on the winding roads through Italy and France, and the courage and boldness determined who the winner will be. Because of these extreme races, where high-speed, sharp turns and brilliant maneuvers were commonplace, it is no wonder drivers became legends of their time.
Collection Persol Roadster Edition offers two models of glasses, Roadster GT and TF, with a timeless aviator shape. The inspiration by Roadster is visible in the silhouette of these models and their details such as tiny metal rivets at the top of the glasses, taken directly from the hood of the Roadster; the legendary Persol’s Meflecto system with a round cylinder made on the model of automobile valves and special lattice detail at the ends of handles for increased comfort, reminiscent of the car refrigerator. What makes these glasses perfect for driving are their photo chromatic and polarized lenses that not only reduce glare, but also become darker depending on the intensity of the light. Each of these two models is available in 5 different colors.
