Among young people cataracts can be caused by injuries, some types of drugs, untreated inflammation or disease such as diabetes.
How to treat eye cataracts?
Cataracts can be removed surgically. The surgeon will remove the old, cloudy lens and put in its place a new, plastic lens. This operation proved very effective. During surgery, the patient is usually under local anesthesia, and the process of replacing the lens does not last long.
In some cases, surgery is not recommended, so the vision is corrected with a special kind of spectacles and contact lenses.
